About us
EdgeOwl is a young product from a team that is not young at all. We have run IT support for businesses in Moldova for more than ten years, and MikroTik routers have been part of that work from the first day.
A startup with ten years of practice behind it
EdgeOwl is made by Support Rapid SRL, the company behind Moldova Support. For more than ten years we have provided IT services in Moldova and abroad: full or partial IT outsourcing for businesses from small companies and online stores to large retailers, server maintenance on subscription, and 1C server rental with remote access around the clock.
Every client gets a dedicated manager and support that answers at any hour. Routers are where most of the trouble starts, and MikroTik is the router you meet most often in this part of the world, so we have set up, backed up, updated and rescued hundreds of them by hand.
EdgeOwl is that routine turned into a product: the backup we always made before touching a config, the update we always ran after a backup, the check we ran every morning. Now it runs on its own, for anyone, for two dollars a month.

Serghei has led Moldova Support from the start and still answers client calls himself. He is the person who decided that a router backup should not depend on someone remembering to make one, and the one you will most likely talk to if you write to us.
“Your success in business is our main goal.” That line has been on the Moldova Support site for years; EdgeOwl is the same promise, written in code.
What we still do by hand
EdgeOwl covers the daily routine. Some things still need a person, and we are the same people who built the product.
- MikroTik setup and audit — firewall, VPN, VLANs, failover between two providers, cleaned up and documented.
- Migration from RouterOS 6 to 7 — the assisted service mentioned on the pricing page: we plan it, test it on a copy and do it in a window you choose.
- Network and server support for your office — in Moldova on site, elsewhere remotely, through Moldova Support.
Services are billed separately from EdgeOwl, by Support Rapid SRL.
- Your backups are encrypted with your key. We could disappear tomorrow and you would still have them.
- No venture money, no growth targets. The product pays for itself at $1–2 per router.
- We use EdgeOwl on our own clients' routers every night. If it breaks, we notice before you do.
